Ho Chi Minh City urges on 32 long-delayed real estate projects

Ho Chi Minh City is the largest real estate market with hundreds of projects in delay Projects from many giant developers were on the list, including Novaland Group, Him Lam Land, Quoc Cuong Gia Lai, SonKim Land, SaigonRes, and Hung Loc Phat which have been in a prolonged deadlock for various reasons. Novaland had the largest number of projects under discussion by the central and local authorities, with 10 of the 32 projects bearing their logo. These projects include Co Giang apartment building in District 1, the officetel and apartment building at 151 Ben Van Don Street in District 4, a 30 hectare project in Binh Khanh commune of District 2, and seven other projects in Phu Nhuan district. The Co Giang apartment building in District 1 was handed over land by Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and the local Department of Construction has granted a construction licence for the project. HCM City accelerates digital transformation in governmental organisations

(Photo: VNA) HCM City (VNA) – Ho Chi Minh City plans to accelerate digital transformation in governmental organisations and promote e-government to heighten the efficiency and quality of public service delivery. This is among the tasks for the city in conducting a plan on enhancing the application of information technology in governmental organisation s, promoting e-government and ensuring cybersecurity between 2021 and 2025. To this end, the southern economic hub will focus on developing digital infrastructure serving governmental offices; creating open databases with easy and friendly access to increase transparency, towards e-government, a digital economy, and a digital society; and ensuring information safety and cybersecurity. Da Nang by Night expected to revive tourism in central city

Scheduled to begin at the upcoming Southern Liberation and National Reunification holiday (April 30), the programme will seek to create new distinctive tourism products so as to enhance the experience of tourists to the city. The programme is the realisation of the city’s plan to develop its night-time economy and will be piloted from 2021 to 2023. Da Nang by Night targets foreign tourists from key markets such as China, the Republic of Korea and Southeast Asia, as well as those from potential markets such as Russia, Australia and the US when the Covid-19 pandemic is brought under control and international routes are permitted to resume. COVID-19 vaccination to begin in Vietnam on March 8

Earlier, more than 117,600 doses of the vaccine, manufactured in the Republic of Korea (RoK), arrived in Vietnam on February 24. After holding working sessions with the producer, Vietnam has obtained an accreditation certificate for the batch from the RoK. Long said the doses, verified by the ministry, meet the conditions for vaccination in Vietnam. As scheduled, on March 6, the Health Minister will chair a conference to launch the vaccination plan and provide related training for medical staff nationwide in the use and storage of the vaccine, as well as the handling of post-injection complications. COVID-19 vaccinations must be safe, effective: Deputy PM

The Deputy PM, who is also head of the Steering Committee, stressed that safety must be as high as possible and that if something goes wrong it must be handled calmly. Though COVID-19 has been largely brought under control in Vietnam, relevant agencies must continue to maintain readiness and vigilance, he said. Deputy PM Dam called on people to strictly follow the Ministry of Health’s “5K” message: Khau trang (facemasks) - Khu khuan (disinfecting) - Khoang cach (distancing) - Khong tu tap (no gathering) - Khai bao y te (health declaration).
