Volunteer doctors care for needy mountainous people

This 22nd free medical program of the AVD provided 1,256 locals with heart disease screening and checkups for other common diseases. In the program, locals were given blood tests, electrocardiogram and ultrasound practices, etc., and provided with free medicines to treat common diseases. Apart from the medical examination, the AVD also presented 170 gifts to needy people and national contributors. At the same time, the “Books for students” program of the AVD was held, giving away 250 gifts for students and handed over a large volume of textbooks and storybooks, worth VND 26.11 million, to the library of the Secondary School of Pa Thom. Furthermore, the AVD showed students how to brush their teeth and wash their hands to prevent getting infected by common diseases. Hanoi students at all levels return to classes after 3-month break

The Hanoitimes - Schools in Hanoi city are requested to implement rules on Covid-19 prevention and respond promptly to any health incidents related to the pandemic. Preschool children and elementary students in Hanoi have returned to schools after a theee-month break due to the risk of Covid-19 infection, Kinhtedothi.vn reported. The schools have been disinfected many times and the teaching plans are adjusted to suit the pandemic evolution. Students in Hanoi's Ha Dong district are excited to resume classes. Medical workers honoured on Vietnam Doctors’ Day

Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh presented the title of “People’s Doctor” to Associate Prof. Dr. Tran Huu Binh; Associate Prof. Dr. Doan Quoc Hung; Associate Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Tuan; Associate Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Uoc, and Associate Prof. Dr. Nguyen Kim Viet. They are former and incumbent leaders at important faculties and institutes of different central hospitals. On the occasion, the title “Meritorious Doctor” was also awarded to 12 other lecturers at the Hanoi Medical University.
