Photo: Nikkei.asia.com The world's largest glove maker is expected to invest $24.5 million to build the new factory, which would produce four billion polyvinyl chloride gloves a year, Japanese newspaper Nikkei Asian Review reported. The plant will be built on an industrial plot in Vietnam, measuring more than 20 acres, Top Glove executive chairman and founder Lim Wee Chai told the New Strait Times. The company’s managing director, Kim Meow Lee told Malaysia’s The Star newspaper on the sidelines of the 2019 Invest Malaysia that the construction of the plant has started and production would commence in the first quarter of 2020. Top Glove, which has a market capitalization of just over $3 billion, reported profits of $105.7 million last year on revenues of $1 billion. Addressing the ceremony, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh affirmed that participation in UN peacekeeping activities is a breakthrough step for Vietnam’s external policy, marking a change both qualitative and quantitative in multilateral cooperation in general and defence-security cooperation in particular. Shortly after the match at Binan stadium in the Philippines began, Thailand scored two continuous goals at the fifth and 11th minutes. However, at the 15th minute, Nguyen Tien Linh of Vietnam broke through three Thai defenders in the box to head the ball in from a cross in the left wing. Vietnam defeated hosts Philippines 2-0 on Thursday night to advance to the final in women’s football, where they will clash with archrivals Thailand, at the ongoing 30th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games. The defending champions dominated the game from kick-off, but only managed to score goals in the second half. In the fourth minute, Vietnamese midfielder Nguyen Thi Binh Thuy penetrated the penalty area and aimed for the far corner, only to miss the post. Nine minutes later, Nguyen Thi Tuyet Dung delivered a volley just outside the box but her goal was denied by a remarkable save from Filipina goalie Inna Palacios.
