At the event (Source: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnamese and US agricultural experts and policy makers gathered at a recent workshop in Arlington city of the US’s Virginia State to seek ways to boost export of Vietnamese agricultural products. The event was jointly hosted by the VietAgGlobal and Vietnam Education Fund (VEF) following the success of a similar event on sustainable agriculture held at the US’s Arizona University in 2017. Participants said besides opportunities, Vietnam’s agricultural export is facing numerous challenges, which requires joint efforts of relevant agencies, enterprises, and scientists to improve products’ quality and expand export markets. A family in Kien Giang Province are calling for financial support to help save their child from cancer. Bach Ngoc Tieu Vi has a malignant tumour 10-year-old Bach Ngoc Tieu Vi suddenly had a stomach ache and collapsed in last August. When she was brought to Kien Giang General Hospital, doctors found out that she had a large tumour in her belly and immediately transferred her to Children's Hospital 1 in HCM City. It was a malignant tumour which has spread to many parts of her lung and kidney. Due to the severity of her condition, Vi received chemotherapy sessions at the Oncology Hospital and had surgery at Children's Hospital 1. The doctors had to remove one of her kidney and one-third of her lungs. "I thought that she would be fine then but doctors said she still needs both chemotherapy and radiotherapy sessions."
