A plane of Vietnam Airlines (Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam Airlines has delayed flights between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea (RoK) on October 2 evening due to impact of Storm Mitag in the Northeast Asian region. The national flag carrier announced that Flights VN422 and VN426 from Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi to the RoK’s Busan city, along with Flights VN423 and VN427 from Busan to HCM City, will take off on October 3 morning, instead of October 2 evening as initially planned. Flights VN408, VN416, VN440, VN430 and VN441 from HCM City, Da Nang city and Cam Ranh city to Incheon city of the RoK will also be delayed for several hours. Passengers on the rescheduled flights will receive support from the carrier in line with regulations. On September 30, Vietnam Airlines also rescheduled flights to and from Shanghai Pudong International Airport of China due to the storm. Organisations and individuals of all ages living and working in Vietnam can join the contest which aims to raise public awareness on easing gender imbalance at birth, increasing status of girl children, and affirming the role of women in the family and society. The contest is expected to make contributions to connecting population-family planning staff while promoting the application of media technologies in the field of population and family planning. Entries to the contest should be in HD or full HD modes, and have maximum allowable length of five minutes. WB: Malaysia needs to widen sales, services tax coverage
Illustrative image (Photo: Internet) Hanoi (VNA) - The World Bank (WB) has said the Malaysian government needs to diversify and increase its revenue resources, including widening coverage of the sales and services tax (SST) to rebuild fiscal buffers. In its October 2019 edition on the Economic Update for East Asia and the Pacific, themed “Weathering Growing Risks”, released on October 10, the WB said exercises towards diversifying revenue resources are needed, as Malaysia’s comparatively high level of government liabilities would continue to exert constraints on fiscal space available in the event of macroeconomic shocks.
