HCM City (VNS/VNA) – Ho Chi Minh City plans to complete inventory and check the status of State-owned houses and land in the city this year to ensure that housing and land are being used for legitimate purposes. The city will check housing and land quantity, area, shape, position, legal documents, management, purposes for use, as well as the current housing and land usage of offices, organisations, enterprises and individuals. The city will fine violators of regulations and withdraw land use licences of State-owned vacant houses and land or those that were taken illegally. The city's People’s Committee has told relevant agencies including the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to strengthen checks and supervision after issuing certificates of land-use rights.
