The strategic trail started from the central province of Nghe An and ran through Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien-Hue, Quang Nam, Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Dak Nong and ended in Binh Phuoc. Former VOV reporter Le Thong remembers the day he arrived at the Truong Son Trail in 1972. Each of the students will enjoy the opportunity of receiving the Honda YES Plus Award worth US$10,000 if they choose to study abroad in Japan. Alternatively, they could earn US$7,000 if they accept and participate in internships at universities, research institutes, laboratories, or companies throughout Japan for a period of between two and a half months to a year for a total of four years starting from the date on which they won the award. Tan Ky People’s Committee was tasked with protecting and promoting the site, which is expected to become an attraction of local tourism. The wartime legendary trail starts from Nghe An and runs through Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien-Hue, Quang Nam, Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Dak Nong and ends in Binh Phuoc.
