That is why buyers will certainly make a profit if they buy land plots right now,” Tuan told VIR. Prices in the area could sit anywhere at VND30-40 million ($1,300-1,750) per square metre depending on the location in 2019, but are now usually around VND50-70 million ($2,200-3,000) per sq.m. Canal renovation project proposed to prevent flooding at Ho Chi Minh City airport
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport is seeking approval for a VND513 billion (US$22,370) canal renovation project to deal with flooding at Tan Son Nhat International Airport and its vicinity. The municipal transport department has submitted the plan on renovating Hy Vong Canal in Tan Binh District to the People’s Council for ratification. The project is aimed at improving rainwater drainage at Tan Son Nhat International Airport and other areas along the canal. The target areas cover about 1,052 hectares. The plan will also prevent flooding at public works and residential areas as well as helping improve the local environment and urbanscapes. The renovated canal will be 1,821 meters long, while two roads, about 10 meters wide each, will be built along both sides of the canal. Lockdown lifted in Hai Duong’s Chi Linh city, Cam Giang district
On January 27, the first community COVID-19 case in Hai Duong province’s Chi Linh City was detected – Patient 1,552 – a worker in close contact with a woman who tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 after arriving in Japan. According to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, Chi Linh city was the largest outbreak in the country since the pandemic began early last year with 383 confirmed cases out of 684 cases reported in Hai Duong province. The outbreak started at a company with more than 2,300 workers and then spread to the community, which caused difficulties in controlling the infections. As the outbreak was gradually controlled, Hai Duong province’s authorities decided to end the lockdowns and province-wide social distancing, entering a “new normal” phase with twin tasks of drastically fighting the coronavirus and taking action for socio-economic development. Vietnam’s An Giang Province bans mobile karaoke, food delivery to quarantine wards
A province-wide ban on mobile karaoke services as well as food shipment to quarantine centers has been ordered by the leader of An Giang Province in southern Vietnam after the locale logged five new cases of COVID-19 transmission. The direction was stated on Tuesday by Nguyen Thanh Binh, chairman of the An Giang People’s Committee, during his visit to COVID-19 prevention facilities, including control posts along the bank of the Binh Di River in Long Binh Town and the quarantine wards at Luong The Vinh High School in An Phu Town. Vietnam ready for Covid-19 vaccine rollout
He added that the Ministry of Health has prepared all for vaccine rollout. Mentioning the first batch of AstraZeneca/Oxford Covid-19 vaccine including 117,600 doses, Mr. Cuong said that Vietnam basically checked its quality while the health sector is waiting for certification from its South Korean peer. He said Vietnam has been urging the South Korean peer to have result of assessment. It is expected that Vietnam will administer shots of vaccine in the end of the next week.
