The Communist Party is aiming for Vietnam to reach GDP per capita of $5,000 by 2025 and to be a developed country by 2045. Party delegates voted to adopt the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress at the final session of the Congress held on February 1, 2021. The goals are part of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress held from January 25 to February 1, the entirety of which has just been released by the Office of the Party Central Committee. The Resolution noted the highlight of the 12th tenure was the successful handling of the COVID-19 pandemic resulting in significant economic achievements – including stable macroeconomics, controlled inflation and high GDP growth, while people’s living standards were improved. Hanoi calls on people to avoid religious gatherings

Man saving toddler from falling death awarded merit certificate
Chairman of Hanoi City’s People’s Committee Chu Ngoc Anh on March 01, 2021 promptly signed Decision No. 995/QD-UBND on granting the award. A letter from Hanoi Party Secretary Vuong Dinh Hue also acknowledged Nguyen Ngoc Manh’s brave act. On the evening of February 28, the unsupervised toddler named N.P.H climbed over the balcony of her family’s home on the 13th floor of Nguyen Huy Tuong Apartment Complex, Thanh Xuan district, Hanoi. She managed to grab the railings but let go just several seconds after. At the time, Nguyen Ngoc Manh, who was on a courier run in the complex, spotted the girl and quickly climbed onto the first floor’s roof to catch her. On the truth about learning Vietnamese in Vietnam
It’s time to fess up: after several years of living in Vietnam, my Vietnamese language skills remain a disaster. It’s a veritable train wreck, there’s no getting around it. I have excuses which I replay in my mind in an effort to dull the pain of defeat, most of which are pretty lame. Vietnamese is a tough language for most foreigners to grasp, with endless pronunciation quirks representing the biggest obstacle between us and success. Fair enough, we all know that. Every Tom, Dick, and Harry wants to practice their English with us, so we, as guests, should indulge them, even at the expense of our own progress. That approach conveniently twists a feeble excuse for tires spinning in mud into a benevolent gesture, so that we feel we are making a contribution to the community when the truth is it’s laziness on the part of us foreigners.
