Viet Nam News From next year, more art and music teachers will be needed in Việt Nam. This is because of a change in school courses. There are more than two thousand eight hundred high schools in the country. Five thousand six hundred new art and music teachers may be needed in them. HÀ NỘI — There will be a shortage of some 5,400 arts teachers when the new general educational curriculum is first implemented in the 2020-21 school year, Tuổi Trẻ (Youth) newspaper reported. According to the Ministry of Education and Training, the arts subject will combine music and fine art and will be taught at three levels with 70 sessions per year. In the 2020-21 school year, the new curriculum will be applied at the primary school level. The singer released a music video for the song Nhà Em Ở Lưng Đồi (My House Is Half Way Up the Hill) yesterday, set in Y Tý Commune. The video features the colourful costumes of the Dao ethnic people and children who dance to the sound of bamboo flute, all set in the spectacular landscape of the mountainous region. Viet Nam News HÀ NỘI — With a rapidly aging population and declining fertility, Japan had to adopt a more open-door approach towards foreign workers to staff its labour-strapped industries, with Vietnamese workers among the fastest growing groups. The country’s previously strict approach to immigration changed in June as the Council on Economic and Fiscal Policy, led by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, officially announced a set of measures to increase the flow of labour to the country, including the creation of “a new visa status for non-professional foreign labourers,” the Japan Times reported. New policies would allow apprentices to remain in Japan for a maximum five additional years under a labour visa after their standard three-year training. The Japanese Government said it was also considering letting these visa-holders stay in Japan indefinitely if they pass language proficiency and technical skills tests during their five-year sojourn. After rice is harvested from the immense fields, thousands of such ducks arrived to live here for several months. Vietnamese woman unfailingly smiles at decades-long illness
A Vietnamese woman has always taken a positive outlook on life although she has lived with many diseases for nearly two decades. Nguyen Thi Nhu Y, 32, in Quang Nam Province, central Vietnam, has received medical treatment at Da Nang Hospital in the adjacent city for 18 years. At 14, she menstruated only twice and the menses never occurred to this girl merely beginning to reach her puberty. “At that time, I was waiting for the period to recur but in vain,” Y recalled smilingly.
