Thanh Hoa to receive over 50,000 tonnes of rice to support forest protectors
Illustrative image (Source: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has asked the Ministry of Finance to provide 50,790 tonnes of rice from national reserves to the central province of Thanh Hoa to support families involved in forest protection. The grain will be sent to ethnic minority households and poor families voluntarily planting and protecting the forest when they cannot afford food themselves in 2018-2024 period in Quan Son, Quan Hoa, Lang Chanh and Nhu Xuan districts. The provincial People’s Committee was asked to hand over the rice to the beneficiaries in a timely manner without conflicts with other food supply programmes in the locality. The post also provides three of them with VND 500,000 per month each, rice, books and notebooks.
