Nguyen Tan Viet, museum director, said that Ngoc Linh ginseng, which has medicinal properties, reflects the history and culture of Vietnam. "Having researched for years, I had a strong desire to build a museum so that others could appreciate and learn more about this precious ginseng species," Viet said. High tides to strike HCM City, Can Tho
Many areas in HCM City and Can Tho have been forecasted to be ravaged by flood tides which would reach a record high so far this year. According to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the record-high tides would happen today and tomorrow (September 30 and October 1). The tides at Phu An and Nha Be would climb to 1.68-1.7 metres and last for 5-7 hours.
