Tokyo International Foto Awards honours Vietnamese photographer

The Hanoitimes - Vietnamese female photographer Khanh Phan has won the gold award at the Tokyo International Foto Awards (TIFA) 2020. According to the TIFA 2020 Organizing Committee, photographer Khanh Phan won the gold prize in the Human/ Culture category with the photo entitled "The children’s dancing with gongs", and the silver prize in the Advertising/Travel/Tourism category with the photo named "Drying fish". The awarded photo "Drying fish" by photographer Khanh Phan. The joyous photo of "The children’s dancing with gongs" was taken in December 2018 at a festival in Gia Lai province, Vietnam. Vietnamese photographer scoops gold at Tokyo photo contest

Her shot titled "Children Dancing with Gongs" was taken in December 2018 at a festival in Gia Lai, a Central Highlands province. Vietnamese photographer wins gold prize at TIFA photo contest

According to organizers of TIFA 2020, Khanh Phan won gold prize in the People / Culture category for her image "Children Dancing With Gong" and the silver prize at the Advertising / Travel / Tourism category for her picture "Drying Fish". The "Children Dancing With Gong" picture was taken on December 2, 2018 at a festival of the Jrai ethnic minorities in the central highlands of Gia Lai province while the "Drying Fish" photo was taken on July 26, 2020 at Long Hai fish market in the southern province of Ba Ria Vung Tau. TIFA is a prestigious international photo contest that includes nine categories of advertising, architecture, books, editorial, events, art, nature, people and science. Politburo and Secretariat of Party Central Committee hold first session The Politburo and Secretariat of the 13th-tenure Party Central Committee held their first session in Hanoi on February 18 to discuss the key tasks for the first quarter along with the policy for purchasing and using COVID-19 vaccines.
