Japan helps promote investment in Ben Tre

The MoU focused on setting up a climate-resilient agricultural value chain and aims to develop human resources for agricultural development and investment promotion, particularly through Japanese cultural exchanges and language training. Under the MoU, a working group composed of members from the public sector, enterprises and civil society organisations in the province will be organised. Currently, the JICA has been assisting Ben Tre with infrastructure projects under loan projects. AES, PetroVietnam set up joint venture for US$1.4 billion LNG terminal

The Hanoitimes - The partnership is expected to develop a hub for LNG imported from the US. US energy firm AES Corporation and Petrovietnam Gas JSC (PV Gas) on Wednesday signed a term sheet of the joint venture agreement for a liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal with a US$1.4 billion investment in central Vietnam. HCM City to clean more of its polluted canals, relocate poor people living along them

Photo thanhnien.vn HCM CITY — HCM City plans to clean up more of its canals in 2021-25 and relocate people living in utter poverty along them. It has set a target of moving out 10,000 families from near canals in Bình Thạnh, Bình Tân, 4, 7, and 8 districts. Its plans include cleaning the Xuyên Tâm Canal passing through Bình Thạnh and Gò Vấp districts and building an underground drainage system in the Tham Lương and Bến Cát areas. The works will be funded by both public and private resources. The canals’ banks will be widened by 20 per cent to attract investment and offer to investors to set up malls and other commercial establishments.
