The statement was made by deputy Minister of Construction Le Quang Hung during a meeting about building makeshift hospitals on April 9. Hung has assigned the National Institute of Architecture and State Authority for Construction Quality Inspection and Vietnam National Construction Consultants Corporation to oversee the construction quality. Agencies were asked to research options for multiple hospitals, from setting up field hospitals to converting existing constructions like stadiums into makeshift hospitals. Experienced and reputable units will be asked to prepare everything to carry out the work immediately if the order is out.
