The Ministry of Education and Training announced that they are planning to issue a regulation stipulating that Vietnam's new school year will start on September 5. The earliest date to gather the students to prepare the new school year is September 1 and no school would be allowed to start the curriculum before then. For private schools, the ministry will adjust the Circular 13 which stipulates the operational regulations of primary, secondary and high schools. Even though it's unclear what the adjustments will be, many private schools have expressed concern and confusion at the news. Nguyen Xuan Khang, head of Marie Curie Secondary School and High School, said the Covid-19 pandemic had put many schools on the verge of bankruptcy and they had struggled to maintain business.
