Denmark prioritises supporting Vietnam in green energy development
Illustrative image (Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) – Denmark prioritises helping Vietnam’s energy sector with green development and transformation, Danish Ambassador to Vietnam Kim Højlund Christensen affirmed on February 24. He was speaking at an online signing ceremony of Memoranda of Understanding on cooperation in the supply of pile foundations and logistics ports for the La Gan offshore wind power project in the south central province of Binh Thuan. Collaboration in projects like La Gan will contribute to expanding and enhancing cooperation between the two countries in sharing information, and improving the capacity of experts and employees, especially in the offshore wind power supply chain, the ambassador said. The La Gan wind power project, with an estimated capacity of nearly 3.5 GW, is being developed by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), Asiapetro and Novasia. Hanoi targets creating 150,000 new enterprises in 2021-25
The Hanoitimes - In the 2021-25, SMEs in Hanoi are expected to create additional 1.5 million jobs, while making up over 40% of the GRDP, 30% of the state budget and 25% of total export turnover. Hanoi targets to have an addition of 150,000 new enterprises in the next five-year, or an average growth of new businesses at 10% per year, equivalent to 30,000 newly established ones. Deputies of Hanoi People's Council approved the plan to support SMEs in the 2021-25 period. Business formations in Vietnam surge 18% m/m in October
The Hanoitimes - The total number of newly-registered and reinstated enterprises in the ten-month period reached 148,900, down 0.3% year-on-year. New business formations in Vietnam in October rose by a sharp 18.4% month-on-month to 12,200, according to the General Statistics Office. 37,700 enterprises resumed operations in the first ten months of this year. This month has also witnessed a decline of 18.5% month-on-month in combined registered capital to VND165.6 trillion (US$7.14 billion) and a fall of 12.7% in the number of workers hired by new enterprises to 72,400. 11 priority groups eligible to first COVID-19 vaccination in Vietnam
The groups include health professionals, the pandemic prevention and fight task force (members of steering committees, people working in quarantining areas, reporters and others), diplomats, and customs and immigration staffs, military personnel, police force, teachers, and the elderly aged over 65. Others include those working to maintain the supply of essential services such as aviation, transportation, tourism, electricity and water supply, as well as people with chronic diseases,people going abroad on a mission, to work, or study, and those in pandemic-hit areas. The Ministry of Health (MoH) has announced the plan on the reception, preservation, distribution, and use of COVID-19 vaccines during 2021-2022 with the support of the COVAX Facility – the global procurement mechanism of COVAX.
