Various activities to be held in celebration of Tet
Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnamese people nationwide will have an opportunity to experience various activities to welcome the Lunar New Year (Tet) festival 2021 in the new normal state aligned with pandemic prevention measures, the Nhan dan newspaper reported. According to the Hanoi Tourism Department, tourism attractions in Hanoi are implementing programmes to welcome Tet and receive tourists. At the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, various activities will be held from February 4-20 to celebrate Tet, including an exhibition space re-enacting traditional Tet rituals and customs, a space of worship, calligraphy arts, and others. National Olympic Committee designs plan for 2021
Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam National Olympic Committee will organise various community and high-performance sport activities and prepare for the 31st SEA Games and the 11th ASEAN Para Games as well as important international sport Olympics in 2021, heard a meeting of the standing board of the committee on January 20. Addressing the event, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Ngoc Thien, who is also Chairman of the committee, said that in the year, the committee will step up swimming training to children and students across the country to prevent drowning. The national running event for public health will continue to be organized with larger scale and higher quality, he said. Close to 1,000 artists to join music gala celebrating 13th National Party Congress
Hanoi (VNA) - A music gala celebrating the upcoming 13th National Party Congress is scheduled to be held at the My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi on February 2, with the participation of nearly 1,000 artists. Artists from the National Music, Song and Dance Theatre, Voice of Vietnam (VOV), Vietnam National Academy of Music, and the Vietnam Circus Federation, will be performing at the event, according to VOV. A drum beating performance featuring the involvement of 100 drummers and 300 artists is set to open the music gala. The occasion will showcase a range of songs which praise both the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh.
