Real estate sees rise in M&A deals

Statistics released at the Vietnam M&A Forum in Ho Chi Minh City in August 2018 showed that in the first five months of the year, the total value of M&A transactions in the Vietnamese market had reached 3.55 billion USD, equivalent to 155 percent of the figure recorded in the same period last year. Of the sum, property deals made up 66.75 percent. Meanwhile, in 2017, M&A deals were valued at 10.2 billion USD, up 175 percent against 2016, with real estate accounting for only 27 percent following consumer goods production with 57 percent. Hanoi attracts highest FDI in 11 months

10 Vietnamese start-ups with highest investment in 2019
This year continues to witness a wave of investments into Vietnamese start-ups, with millions of dollars of money announced. This is the list of 10 start-ups with highest investment based on public investment information, site ndh.vn reported. Some start-ups are believed to have successfully raised capital from US$75 million to $300 million, but specific amounts were not disclosed. 1 Sendo E-commerce platform Sendo of Sen Đỏ Technology JSC completed a $61 million Series C funding round. Besides previous investors, this round of fundraising has the participation of two new investors, Indonesian EV Growth and Thai Kasikornbank.
