Home-grown peach flower trees to be labelled
On January 18, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Ha Cong Tuan signed an official document about labelling and traceable peach flower trees for the coming Tet holiday. The ministry asked provincial people's committees to tighten management to tighten monitoring and raise public awareness to prevent forest destruction. Depending on each locality, the authorities can use labels to differentiate the trees but they must not create more bureaucracy and troubles for businesses. The ministry will work with localities authorities to find the most suitable solution to this problem. Local authorities were asked to strictly follow the prime ministerial directives about a tree-planting festival this Tet and step up the forest development projects in the first months of 2021. They must report back to the ministry by January 31.
