A web series on People’s Artist and theatre actress Le Thuy, a star of cai luong (reformed opera), has been released on YouTube to mark the artist’s 40-year career. As of now, there are 64 million Vietnamese Internet users, 94% of whom uses the Internet on a daily basis, according to a report on Vietnamese Digital Marketing in 2019. Students spread the word about importance of organ donations in Vietnam
"Organ donations can give life to others. Donating is a good deed we can do after death," says Pham Hung, a 12th grader at Nguyen Du High School in Ba Ria Vung Tau Province. Students at Nguyen Du High School attend a roundtable meeting on the importance of organ donations. Hung and his close friend Dinh Huu Thien Phuc, an 11th grader at the school, have been working for months on a research project that raises students' awareness about the value of organ donations. Their project has received a positive response from teachers, students and officials. “We wanted to do something to spread the good will and compassion shown by organ donors, who help to save other people,” Hung says. The two students say they were especially inspired by the story of a seven-year-old girl from Hanoi who died of a brain tumor last year and whose corneas were donated for transplant operations in two patients.
