Racist hatred leaves psychological mark on Vietnamese living in the west

While Tran Hong Yen was waiting for a train in Munster, Germany last year, two white men passed by and said in German, "Go back to China and take the virus back with you." The 21-year-old Vietnamese student said: "I was stunned and confused. After I got home, the verbal attack was still stuck in my head and made me feel very angry. Ambassador Olof Skoog, head of the EU Delegation to the UN, said “it was a very good debate.” The EU side is “very strong supportive of the UN,” the ambassador told the Vietnam News Agency (VNA)’s correspondents in New York. The UN needs support as it “cannot do everything everywhere by itself,” he said, highlighting the important role of regional organisations in conflict prevention and resolution since they have trust and confidence among parties in conflict. “So as long as they always follow the UN Charter, respect the international law, I think that's kind of locally driven … [Read more...] about UNSC high-level debate chaired by Việt Nam lauded
