Invest 90l projected path 2017

The Government has ordered the Ministry of Transport to complete two component projects of the North - South expressway (Highway NH45 - Nghi Son and Nghi Son - Dien Chau sections) by 2023. The Government has issued a Resolution to implement Resolution No. 1213 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the transformation of the investment form of these two projects. The resolution assigns the Ministry of Transport to approve the adjustment of the two component projects according to regulations. The Ministry is also assigned to review, determine and take responsibility for the accuracy and reasonableness of the adjusted investment capital of the two component projects. The Ministry of Planning and Investment was asked to coordinate with the Ministry of Finance to arrange capital for these projects. The Hanoitimes - The potash salt mine project in Laos became the 5th loss-making project of Vinachem and the 13th projects of Ministry of Industry & Trade sustaining loss of hundreds of millions of dollars. “Another loss-making project has resurfaced in the name of potash salt mine project in Laos,” said the Vice Minister of Industry & Trade Do Thang Hai at the Vietnam National Chemical Group (Vinachem)’s year-end meeting on January 19 to prepare its targets for 2018. PANO - The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Vietnamese Government on January 17 th signed four loan agreements valued at $176 million to help the Vietnamese Government on capacity building to strengthen public-private partnerships (PPP) and infrastructure investments, enhance competitiveness of towns along Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) economic corridors, improve food safety, as well as develop national capacity to mitigate HIV risks. With the first loan agreement, ADB provides US$20 million from its Asian Development Fund (ADF) to fund the Public Private Partnership Support Project. The project will use the fund to establish a Project Development Facility (PDF) to help bring efficient PPP projects to the market. The Hanoitimes - Vietnam’s is considered as one of the fastest growing aviation markets in Asia. Vietnam should invest in hub airports in terms of scale and capacity instead of massively building ones, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV)’s proposal on its draft plan on the development of the national airport system by 2030, with a vision to 2050.
