Cao Hung Thai, Deputy Director of the MoH’s Department for Medical Examination and Treatment Management, cited an IOM report in 2016 as saying that there were about 2.6 million Vietnamese living and working overseas. Meanwhile, data in 2015 of the General Statistics Office show that the percentage of domestic migration was 13.6 percent. Commercialization of this innovation can help with the farming sector in keeping with the Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Economy model. Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation Suvit Maesincee has observed the development process of a bioplastic bag made from tapioca starch, which will completely degrade in 3-4 months and help reduce manufacturing costs by 20 percent. National public service portal formally launched
According to the Government Office, in the last 9 months, it cooperated with related ministries & sectors, and local authorities to standardize and upgrade necessary databases for administrative procedures regarding citizens and businesses in order to integrate them for the services launched on the portal. This public service portal, an essential milestone in the implementation of the people-centered and enterprise-centered approach, aims at delivering transparent information about administrative procedures as well as actually carrying out these practical works online. The portal is supposed to save more than VND4,200 billion (approx. US$181.4 million) per year.
