"For a long period of time, the ministry has not been able to manage or control official and brokerage fees of businesses running the service, which had caused workers (who in fact are all poor) to pay a large amount of money even when the policy of receiving markets (Japan and Taiwan) does not require them to pay." The conclusion of the inspectorate was announced at a Thursday meeting by its deputy head Tran Ngoc Liem. (Source: baohagiang.vn) Ha Giang (VNA) - Forest rangers in the northern mountainous province of Ha Giang have been making efforts to preserve the Tonkin snub-nosed monkey ( Rhinopithecus avunculus ), one of the rarest primate s in the world. There are only about 200 such monkeys in the world, with most of them being in Ha Giang. In 2002, a population of 60 individuals was spotted in the Khau Ca special-use forest in Vi Xuyen and Bac Me districts of Ha Giang province. Another population of 30-60 was found six years later in the Tung Vai area in Quan Ba district. Local forest rangers have coordinated with Fauna & Flora International (FFI) in a preservation project for the primates, with a range of pragtical activities conducted. At its shareholders’ meeting held in the central province of Quang Ngai on June 21, the company said that its net profit reached 2.7 trillion VND (118.8 million USD), equivalent to 77.6 percent of the target set for the whole year. The company’s total output stood at 3.53 million tonnes while its sale volume was estimated at 3.6 million tonnes, completing 57 percent of the yearly plan. HCM City: early start proposed for over VND4.8 trillion traffic project Traffic congestion on Cong Hoa road The Ho Chi Minh City management board for traffic works construction and investment has urged early completion of paperwork for construction on a road linking Tran Quoc Hoan and Cong Hoa roads to begin in December. Costing more than 4.84 trillion VND (211.2 million USD), the project is slated to complete in July 2023, in conjunction with the completion of the Tan Son Nhat international airport’s Terminal 3 The project, approved in December 2019, includes the building of a six-lane 4km road, an intersection tunnel, and a 1,200m overpass in front of the Terminal 3. Apart from the project, the city also conducting procedures to implement the expansion of Hoang Hoa Tham road and upgrading of Cong Hoa road around the Tan Son Nhat airport.
