Export value skyrockets over Lunar New Year Vietnam's export turnover during this Lunar New Year saw breakthrough growth, occupying nearly half of the total export-import turnover. The latest data published by the General Department of Vietnam Customs showed that export volume over the seven days (February 10-16) of the Lunar New Year holiday reached $730 million, rising 79 per cent on-year and accounting for about 44 per cent of the $1.67 billion export-import turnover. The main export articles include mobile devices and components valued at $332 million; computer and electronic products worth $251 million. The two categories accounted for 80 per cent of the total export value. This Lunar New Year saw exports going to 80 markets, seven more than last year. Vietnams starts conducting national 2021 economic census today

The Hanoitimes - The main objective of the national economic census is to serve as the foundation for the calculation of the country’ GDP and GRDP data. The General Statistics Office (GSO) today [March 1] starts conducting the national 2021 economic census, which is taken every five years, with the preliminary result set to publish in December 2021 and the final one in the second quarter of 2022. The data collection period is set to take place from March 1 to July 30, 2021 on various economic component groups. Information and Communications Ministry enhances network security with campaign

The Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) has launched the “Review and remove malware nationwide in 2020” campaign to enhance the country's network security. The malware infection rate in Viet Nam has decreased but still remained high compared to other countries in the world. — Photo quantrimang.com The campaign aims to reduce the malicious code infection rate by 50 per cent. It also aims to cut the number of Vietnamese IP addresses in 10 popular botnets – a collection of internet-connected devices infected by malware that allow hackers to control them – in half. It would also take Việt Nam out of reports on malware infection rates.
