A survey conducted by Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dinh Duc from Vietnam National University – Hanoi reveals that in 10 years from 2009, the number of Vietnamese articles published in international scientific journals increased fivefold (between 1,764 articles in 2009 to 8,234 in 2018). After the introduction of Resolution No.29 in 2013, which promotes scientific research in different fields, only in 2 years from 2017-2018, leading universities in Vietnam possess around 10,000 research result reports announced internationally. Statistics of Web of Science (WoS) and SCOPUS also display that in 2018, the quantity of annual international announcements related to research result reached nearly 10,000, 70 percent of which belongs to tertiary educational institutes. Vietnam aviation industry revived after social distancing orders removed
The Hanoitimes - The revival of the aviation industry was a result of efforts by the government and the tourism industry to stimulate domestic travel. With the social distancing orders loosened on April 23 after Covid-19 was contained, airports in Vietnam became busier in May, with air passengers jumping 14.3-fold from a month earlier to a total of 2.88 million. Bank stocks rising on back of bright prospects
The results of 2020 business and 2021 outlook support the rise of bank stocks Ending the last session of February, the VN-Index stood at 1,168.47 points, corresponding to an increase of 111.86 points (10.59 per cent) compared to the previous month. The HNX-Index increased by 35.01 points (16.3 per cent) to 249.22 points. The UPCoM-Index also increased 4.56 points (6.33 per cent) to 76.64 points. Large-cap stocks recovered well in February as only the NVL ticker of Novaland decreased by 0.7 per cent. Meanwhile, as many as 14 other stocks in this group increased by over 15 per cent. The shares of VPBank (VPB), rose the most among the top 30 by market capitalisation with over 33 per cent.
