Over 1.7mn students back to school in Ho Chi Minh City

More than 1.7 million students in Ho Chi Minh City returned to school on Monday after having to switch to remote learning for several weeks as part of COVID-19 prevention and control measures. According to the observations of Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper reporters, students of Tran Van On Middle School in District 1 had to queue up in two lines to have their body temperature measured before entering the school. Vietnam promotes cooperation with Mekong subregion’s countries

Countries in the Mekong subregion share the responsibility for the use and management of the Mekong River’s water resources in a sustainable manner in a bid to offset impacts on development and the environment, he added. The diplomat affirmed that Vietnam has always been a responsible member in the joint efforts to cope with challenges in environmental issues, climate change, economic development and security in the Mekong subregion. He proposed that countries work together to build regulations and legally binding frameworks in order to effectively manage transboundary rivers. Cu Chi Tunnels site seeks UNESCO’s recognition

When people think of the most modern and crowded city in Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City first comes to mind. The Cu Chi tunnels were the location of several military campaigns during the war (Photo courtesy of Cu Chi Tunnels) But the city, the country's largest, also has a great deal of historical value related to the wars of resistance against the French and American aggressors to offer interest to tourists as well as locals. Ta Chi Nhu – the road to conquering the rooftop of Yen Bai province

Beautiful scenery on the road from the centre of Tram Tau district to Mo Chi. The terraced field is one of the "specialties" of this land. Often called the rooftop of Yen Bai province, Ta Chi Nhu is located in Xa Ho commune, Tram Tau district. It is part of the Pu Luong massif of the Hoang Lien Son mountain range.
