Home-grown peach flower trees to be labelled
On January 18, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Ha Cong Tuan signed an official document about labelling and traceable peach flower trees for the coming Tet holiday. The ministry asked provincial people's committees to tighten management to tighten monitoring and raise public awareness to prevent forest destruction. Depending on each locality, the authorities can use labels to differentiate the trees but they must not create more bureaucracy and troubles for businesses. The ministry will work with localities authorities to find the most suitable solution to this problem. Local authorities were asked to strictly follow the prime ministerial directives about a tree-planting festival this Tet and step up the forest development projects in the first months of 2021. SCIC pours up to 345.6 million USD in Vietnam Airlines
Hanoi (VNS/VNA) - The State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC) plans to invest 8 trillion VND (approximately 345.6 million USD) in Vietnam Airlines JSC (HVN). The amount is equal to 25 percent of HVN’s charter capital. “Vietnam Airlines will issue 8 trillion VND in shares to existing shareholders to raise its charter capital. And SCIC represents the Government to buy the shares,” Nguyen Chi Thanh, General Director of SCIC, said during a recent press conference. The two sides had a meeting to work out the HVN share price, Thanh added. Vietnam Airlines is creating a share offering plan to raise its charter capital and needs to get opinions from the State Securities Commission of Vietnam.
