Vietnamese, Cuban deputy foreign ministers hold political consultation

Participants in the event included Vietnamese Ambassador to Cuba Le Thanh Tung and Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Orlando Nicolas Hernandez. Deputy Minister Son spoke of Vietnam’s situation, including the prominent outcomes of the 13th National Party Congress, measures in response to COVID-19, economic development, and social security ensuring. He affirmed that Vietnam always treasures and wishes to continue deepening the special traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation with Cuba. For his part, Gonzalez also informed about the situation of his country, countermeasures to address difficulties caused by sanctions and the COVID-19 pandemic, and the updating of the socio-economic model. Yen Tu pagoda complex silenced by Covid-19

A checkpoint on the way to Yen Tu Mountain in Uong Bi Town of Quang Ninh, home to world famous Ha Long Bay. All pagodas and temples in Quang Ninh were shut from Feb. 14 to March 2 as the northern province became a major Covid-19 hotspot, with 61 community transmissions recorded during the country's latest outbreak that commenced on Jan. 28. Overcrowding is common at pilgrim sites in the early days of the first lunar month annually. In previous years, Yen Tu received tens of thousands of Buddhist pilgrims a day during the first lunar months seeking to pray for luck and peace. Visitors can take a cable car, built 10 years ago, to Dong Pagoda at the mountain top. An employee remains on duty to operate the cable car even though there is no one around. Thousands of youngsters join army

Yesterday, the Military Service Council of Thu Duc City and 21 other districts in Ho Chi Minh City held ceremonies to see off local young men to the army and public security force. The new recruits from Thu Duc City are ready to fulfil their duty to the nation. In 2021, 4,628 citizens from Ho Chi Minh City perform their service in military and public security forces, including two female citizens. Among them, 2.05% are official Party members, while 41.95% possess college and university qualifications. On the same day, localities in Military Region 2, including Ha Giang, Lao Cai, Son La, Lai Chau and Dien Bien, also hosted ceremonies to see young people off for military service. The enlisted were sent to 10 units belonging to the Military Region 2, the High Command of the Border Guard and units under the Ministry of Public Security. ‘Workation’: The rise of a hybrid travel trend after the pandemic

The Hanoitimes - According to the survey, 52% of Vietnamese travelers have already considered booking somewhere to stay in order to work from a different destination, while 57% would be willing to quarantine if they could work remotely. A recently survey conducted by Booking.com showed that workcation looks set to form a key part of people future travels, at least for the next couple of years. ‘Workation’, as the word suggests, is ‘Work’ + ‘Vacation’ and involves working away from office, blending leisure with business. While not a completely new concept, it seems to garner the attention of travelers worldwide since the outbreak of Covid-19 last year that meant working from home was the new normal.
