Car sales forecasted to reach 400,000 this year
Car sales in Vietnam have been forecasted to hit the record high of 400,000 by the end of this year. According to the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (VAMA), in November, the association members sold 289,128 cars. Meanwhile, TC Motor sold alone 70,802 cars between January and November, raising the total car sales during the 11-month period in the Vietnamese market to 359,930 compared to 352, 209 of last year’s same phase. Police launch probe into HIV testing strip cut
According to investigation police’s statement, they will carry out the probe after receiving denunciation that medical workers of Saint Paul Hospital cut HIV and hepatitis B testing strips in half for trial. The Microbiology Department used HIV and Hepatitis B testing kits manufactured in Japan. They cut the testing strips in half. The cutting line is on the testing chemical line. However, patients still have to cover full payment of the testing service without knowing that medical workers just used only half of the medical supplies for testing. According to World Health Organisation, the accuracy of quick HIV tests may be affected by factors including whether technicians follow testing process or not. Additionally, technicians of the Department mixed many samples of blood for testing.
