Vietnam has no COVID-19 case to report on February 28 morning Vietnam saw no new COVID-19 case over the past 12 hours to 6am February 28, making the national tally unchanged at 2,432, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control. Among the total, 1,530 were locally infected, including 837 cases since January 27. A total 1,844 COVID-19 patients have recovered so far, and the death toll remains at 35. Among those still under treatment, 32 have tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 once, 50 twice and 100 thrice. Of the total figure, 1,542 were locally infected, including 849 domestic cases since January 27 when a new COVID-19 wave broke out. Hai Duong remains the nation’s biggest coronavirus hotspot with a total of 665 local transmissions confirmed so far. Of these, ten localities have gone through 16 straight days without recording any new locally-transmitted cases of COVID-19. On February 28 the Ministry of Health reported the discovery of a community infection in Bac Lieu province in the Mekong Delta. The case is a 49-year-ol-man who tested positive for the virus through the first screening, however, his test result was confirmed negative later by the Ho Chi Minh City Pasteur Institute. Hanoi gets ready to welcome students back to school
