Expert training programme to be launched for e-Government building

Implemented by the Ministry of Information and Communications (MoIC), the programme aims to improve capacity of IT human resources to serve the e-Government project. According to director of the Department of Computerisation under the MoIC Nguyen Thanh Phuc, the experts will include heads of IT divisions of departments, directors of IT centres and heads of IT application divisions. “Participants are not only key IT workers of each unit, but also leaders who will bear the responsibility in the IT sector across the country,” he said. VN’s boarding school model encourages more students to class
School has become a second home for many ethnic minorities students in the mountainous districts of Cao Bang Province in recent years. A student receives help in studying from a teacher of Kim Cuc Secondary School, which is applied boarding school model, in Cao Bang Province. — VNA/VNS Photo Chu Hieu The boarding school model, which provides meals and dorm for students, has helped reduce the number of students who drop out of school. Nguyen Hai Yen, principal of Kim Cuc Secondary School in Bao Lac District, said the model made it easier for teaching and studying. In 2019-20, the school has 183 students, of which 98 per cent stay at the school. Yen said most of them were ethnic minorities and lived tens of kilometres from the school. Sappers are searching for war-left bombs and mines (Source: VNA) Quang Tri (VNA) – Several foreign-funded projects have been conducted in the central province of Quang Tri over the past two decades, helping the locality to clear bombs and mines left from war. Quang Tri is one of localities most affected by the aftermath of war, with 81 percent of the province’s total area polluted with unexploded ordnance (UXO). Statistics from the provincial centre for overcoming bomb and mine consequences show that by April 2018, bomb and mine accidents had killed 3,430 people and injured 5,100 others, including many children.
