Vietnamese goods campaign promote local firms’ development A trade promotion fair to connect firms in Hà Nội and other localities. — Photo kinhtedothi.vn A campaign urging local people to buy “Made-in-Viet Nam” products has helped develop businesses across the country. The Vietnamese people using Vietnamese goods campaign has played a key role in helping local enterprises, a conference held in Hà Nội on Tuesday heard. “The campaign should not be a slogan but aim to conquer Vietnamese consumers,” said deputy minister of Industry and Trade Đỗ Thắng Hải. Trương Thị Ngọc Ánh, vice chairwoman of the Việt Nam Fatherland Front Central Committee, said all of localities nationwide had worked to implement the idea. Sweden thumped Mexico 3-0 on Wednesday (Jun 27), overpowering their opponents after a scoreless first half in a result that means both teams advance to the World Cup last 16 at the expense of defending champions Germany. Exhibition praises victory of 1968 Tet OffensiveCommando Ba Mu (whose real name is Do Van Can) disguised himself as a rubber latex collector to fool the enemy. He used a tricycle to transport weapons to serve the South Vietnam liberation forces during the 1968 Tet Offensive.The tricycle is on display at exhibition that has opened in Hanoi.Entitled The Epic of the 1968 Tet Offensive, the exhibition celebrates the 50th anniversary of the victory of the campaign.The exhibition displays more than 300 images, documents and objects. Ba Mu’s tricycle is one among many objects showcased to the public for the first time.The exhibition is divided into three parts: devotion for the battlefield, the historical turning point and echoes of the epic.
