Danang calls for investment in 10 projects in next five years Tien Sa Port in Danang City. The city wants to call for investment in Lien Chieu Port and make the Tien Sa Port the cruise port Six of the projects have had their scales determined, with a combined investment capital of more than VND100 trillion, while the four remaining projects depend on proposals from investors. The project of building the city subway system will be the largest, with an amount up to VND54.5 trillion. Cambodia passes tougher law for prevention of COVID-19 spread

Many areas in Cambodia's Sihanoukville city have been locked down to prevent the spread of the pandemic (Photo: VNA) Phnom Penh (VNA) - The National Assembly of Cambodia on March 5 unanimously approved a draft Law on Measures to Prevent the Spread of COVID-19 and other Highly Contagious Diseases, which clearly stated financial penalties and prison sentences for violators. As reported by China's Xinhua News Agency , all 83 lawmakers, who were present at the parliamentary session, passed the bill that consisted of six chapters and 18 articles. Senior lawmaker Lork Kheng said under the law, quarantine escapees, who lead to the spread of COVID-19 to others, will be punishable by six months to three years in prison and a fine of 2,500 USD dollars. Online fines for traffic violations still not applied on large scale

The police have begymun imposing fines online on traffic law violators following the launch by the Ministry of Public Security of the national population database system. However, this has not been done on a large scale. With the system, traffic policemen just need to enter violators’ ID numbers into the system to see names, dates of birth and current residential addresses so they can make decisions on sanctions. Violators can pay fines via a service system from the link guiding payments. The police will send back documents and complete the process of dealing with violations after they check the system and find if the violators have paid the fines. Lieutenant Colonel Tran Quang Vinh from the Hanoi Traffic Police Division said that online fine payment is convenient for people and ensures transparency. On March 5, the Trade Union of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee officially began the work to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
