Thailand reported on Friday its fifth record daily tally of coronavirus cases this week, as authorities set up thousands of field hospitals to cope with an influx of patients and lined up hotels to provide extra beds for those without symptoms. All positive cases have to be admitted into care under Thai rules and with 10,461 patients currently being treated, the medical sector could be put under additional strain. The government has set up over 20,000 beds at field hospitals across the country at community centres and gyms. Hotels and hospitals are also partnering up to set up "hospitels" to treat asymptomatic patients, the health ministry said. These are food items, daily necessities, and cosmetics originating from Japan that are highly appreciated by Vietnamese consumers, e-commerce sites and retailers. Up to 50% of Japanese businesses were connected by JETRO to display their products at this first event to get acquainted with the Vietnamese market. At the press conference (Photo: VOV) Hanoi (VNA) - The Presidential Office on April 16 held a press conference to announce the Law on Drug Prevention and Control , which was approved during the 14th National Assembly ’s 11th session. The law comprises eight chapters and 55 articles. It specifies regulations on drug prevention and control, the management of people using drugs illegally, detoxification, the responsibility of individuals, families, offices and organisations in drug prevention and control, and State management and international cooperation in the issue. Compared to the 2000 Law on Drug Prevention and Control (revised in 2008), it regulates more forbidden behaviours, supplements regulations on the control of drug precursors, and specifies cases requiring drug tests, among others.
