Hanoi (VNA) – A three-month-old baby from the northern province of Vinh Phuc, Vietnam’s youngest coronavirus disease (COVID-19) patient, has been successfully treated, according to the National Children’s Hospital. The baby tested positive for the virus on February 11 after her grandmother had contact with a coronavirus patient on January 22. The baby and her mother stayed at the grandmother’s house for four days from January 26 to 29. After her grandmother tested positive for the virus, the local disease monitoring centre made a list of people who had contact with her, including the baby and her mother. Five days before she was hospitalised, the baby showed symptoms of coughing, a runny nose, and slight fever. She was examined and quarantined at a local clinic in Binh Xuyen district, Vinh Phuc.
