Bangkok (NNT/VNA) - Since the start of the pandemic last year, many fake news reports about COVID-19 have been posted on social media. At the same time, the Ministry of a Digital Economy and Society has been collecting evidence and has finally issued arrest warrants for the fake news posters. The Minister of a Digital Economy and Society, Puttipong Punnakan posted on his Facebook today comments about COVID-19 fake news posted during the pandemic, which caused misunderstandings among the citizens. Mr. Puttipong explained that the ministry has always collected evidence of fake news posts and reported them to the Royal Thai Police. Recently, the police issued arrest warrants for 35 fake news posters. China flagrantly sets up districts to administer Vietnam’s Paracel and Spratly Islands
The Hanoitimes - China's aggression at a time of the global pandemic is believed to result in international malevolence. China has set up two districts called Xisha and Nansha to illegally assert its sovereignty claim over Vietnam’s Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) Islands and surrounding waters in the South China Sea. Woody Island in Paracel achipelago The Xisha administration will be located on Phu Lam (Woody Island) in Hoang Sa and the Nansha’s will be on Da Chu Thap (Fiery Cross Reef) in Truong Sa, according to China’s CGTN. The two districts are currently under the management of Chinese city of Sansha, which was set up in 2012. China's policy in the East Sea (internationally known as the South China Sea) in 2020 remains unchanged: Promoting illegal claims, while further undermining the claims of Southeast Asian countries through on-field activities as well as domestic policy and propaganda activities. Aggression on the field In 2020, China continued to use outposts on the Hoang Sa Archipelago (Paracel Islands) and Truong Sa Archipelago (Spratly Islands) of Vietnam to support naval and coast guard operations. Since the beginning of 2020, Chinese maritime law enforcement vessels have been present continuously in the East Sea. Dang Van Tien has with determination followed the job of making to he – toy statuettes typically made of glutinous rice powder in the past – selling the products by traveling to different places from Xuan La, a rural village specializing in the tradition just south of Hanoi.
