(Photo: VNA) Can Tho (VNA) – Another One-Stop Service Office (OSSO) was launched in Can Tho on March 3 to facilitate sustainable reintegration of returning migrant women in the Mekong Delta city. OSSO Can Tho is part of the project “Strengthening Vietnamese capacity for sustainable reintegration of returning women migrants and their households in Vietnam” implemented by the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) in cooperation with the Women’s Union of Vietnam. Funded by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), the project has been carried out in Hanoi, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Can Tho and Hau Giang since March 2020. (Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) - The Vietnam Women’s Museum in Hanoi on March 3 received photos, documents and items with the theme “ Memories and Heritages ” from diplomats, photojournalists, female doctors, and fashion designers. The event is the beginning of a series of activities to honour the “ao dai” (traditional long dress), marks the 111th International Women’s Day on March 8, and responds to the “ Week of Ao Dai ” launched by the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU). It also marks the success of the 13th National Party Congress. Ambassador Nguyen Phuong Nga, President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations and former Deputy Foreign Minister, donated two “ao dai” she wore during a ceremony to receive a decision on her appointment as Ambassador and head of Vietnam’s Permanent Mission to the UN, and a ceremony to present a Letter of Credentials from then State President Truong Tan Sang to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon in 2014. Vietnam slips in Mastercard Index of Women Entrepreneurs
The Hanoitimes - Vietnam, however, remained the third highest ranking among low-middle income countries in the index, staying behind the Philippines [16th] and Indonesia [17th]. UNFPA extends support to vulnerable women in Vietnam

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA)’s sexual and reproductive health agency has intensified its support to help Vietnam’s women meet special health needs in aid worth US$1.34 million. OSSO Can Tho is part of the "Strengthening the capacity of Vietnam to support sustainable reintegration for returning migrant women and their families" project funded by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) with technical assistance from the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU). The Can Tho office is one of five OSSO branches that has been set up in Vietnam by the VWU in cooperation with KOICA and IOM.
