Nguyễn Hữu Nhân, a lecturer of Việt Nam RMIT University, started a project named 'Refill Đây' (Refill Here) to work with manufacturing businesses to set up mobile refilling stores for retail products such as detergent, cosmetics, spices and dried foods in residential areas so people can bring use own containers to reduce plastic waste. Born and raised in the US, Nhân returned to Viet Nam in 2002. A year later, he joined the RMIT staff as an associate lecturer teaching marketing, management and entrepreneurship courses. He is also known as an environmental activist and has founded many projects and organisations working in environmental protection. Vietnam named in Agility’s top 10 Emerging Markets Logistics Index 2021

Hanoi students return to schools on March 2
In its document on February 27, authority of Vietnam’s capital city approved with the Department of Education and Training’s submission about the time of returning to school after a long break due to Coronavirus pandemic. According to the document of the Hanoi People’s Committee, high-schoolers will start the second semester of the academic year 2020-2021 on March 2 while college and university students will start on March 8. Workshop discusses modern technology and its application in the hydro-meteorological monitoring network
The workshop was held as part of the activities to celebrate the 75th Traditional Day of the Vietnam Meteorological and Hydrological Sector (October 3, 1945 - 2020). Speaking at workshop, Prof. Dr. Tran Hong Thai, Director General of the Vietnam Meteorological and Hydrological Administration said that since its establishment, the Vietnam Meteorological and Hydrological Sector has made significant contributions to socio-economic development, defence and security, and especially disaster prevention and control. Modernisation of hydrometeorology monitoring, broadcasting and forecasting is the top priority of the meteorological and hydrological sector, especially the application of Industry 4.0 technologies in the general activities of the sector, he said, adding that properly assessing natural disaster risks will contribute to reducing damage. Export value skyrockets over Lunar New Year Vietnam's export turnover during this Lunar New Year saw breakthrough growth, occupying nearly half of the total export-import turnover. The latest data published by the General Department of Vietnam Customs showed that export volume over the seven days (February 10-16) of the Lunar New Year holiday reached $730 million, rising 79 per cent on-year and accounting for about 44 per cent of the $1.67 billion export-import turnover. The main export articles include mobile devices and components valued at $332 million; computer and electronic products worth $251 million. The two categories accounted for 80 per cent of the total export value. This Lunar New Year saw exports going to 80 markets, seven more than last year.
