Imports-exports contribute $2.37 billion to State budget in Jan-Feb State budget collection from import-export activities reached 54.76 trillion VND (2.37 billion USD) in the first two months, or 17.38 percent of the estimate and a year-on-year rise of 7.53 percent, according to the General Department of Vietnam Customs. In February alone, the collection was 23.66 trillion VND. As Tet (Lunar New Year) holidays fell in the month, the customs department worked together with relevant agencies to combat smuggling and trade frauds while increasing inspections. The customs force detected 967 cases in total from January 16 to February 15, seizing goods of 258.67 billion VND and contributing 8.6 billion VND to the State budget. State budget collection was estimated at 220.5 trillion VND in total in the first two months of 2021, equivalent to 16.4 percent of the year’s estimate./. National pride here knows no bounds, and this is plain to see when the national team are victorious and the whole of Việt Nam takes to the streets to party. I dream that in the years to come Việt Nam make it to the World Cup. Can you imagine the scenes? It would be amazing. But the chances of that happening are slim at best, so for now, supporters must make do with the lesser competitions in Southeast Asia to get their kicks. Referee Bùi Thị Thu Trang and assistant referee Trương Thị Lệ Trinh are among a pool of about 750 officials with the opportunity to work at the Women’s World Cup Australia/New Zealand 2023. The world football world governing body will select 56 referees and 100 assistants from this list to work at the tournament, to be held from July 10 to August 20, 2023. Shortlisted candidates face a more than two-year selection process before the final list is decided. Both Trang and Trinh have significant experience on the global stage.
