Travel companies need to develop unique products that are responsible for the local community and eco-friendly to meet the requirements of tourists. The survey entitled “What Matters 2021” found that traveling with loved ones is the top commitment for the Vietnamese respondents aged 18-24, 25-34, and 35-44, while making eco-friendly travel choices was the top commitment for those in age groups of 44-54 and above. Sustainable tourism has become a trend due to the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic, Mr. Phung Quang Thang, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Travel Association said and adding that health problems and risks are primary concerns for Vietnamese travelers.
