Vietnam are in careful preparation for Saturday's semifinal match against Cambodia in men’s football at the ongoing 30th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in the Philippines, as coach Park Hang Seo has braced his team for a "tough" game against the junior Angkor Warriors. Vietnam held Thailand to a 2-2 draw on Thursday while Cambodia defeated Malaysia 3-1 on Wednesday to finish their group stage as Group B’s leaders and Group A’s runners-up, respectively, and advance to the semifinal round. The game will take place at Rizal Memorial Stadium in the Filipino capital of Manila at 7:00 pm (Vietnam time) on Saturday and be broadcast live on national television channel VTV6. The activities of Chinese vessels in Vietnam's waters have seriously violated international law and gone against agreements reached between senior leaders of the two countries. President of the Vietnam Society of International Law (VSIL) Dr. Nguyen Ba Son President of the Vietnam Society of International Law (VSIL) Dr. Nguyen Ba Son has sent an open letter to the President of Chinese Society of International Law (CSIL) Prof. Huang Jin. Foreign markets tighten control on origin traceability
The situation, however, has produced both opportunities and challenges for Vietnamese enterprises in building a trademark for local farm produce that is recognized in foreign markets. Cao Thi Kim Lan, director of Binh Dinh Fishery JSC, said that due to the European Commission’s yellow card on Vietnam’s seafood exports to the European market, 100% of the firm’s exported seafood products were being detained at destination ports for check. The firm has faced multiple difficulties in meeting requirements related to the origins of legal fishing products. Of the 10 fishing boats supplying these materials, the company has only made purchases from three or four boats that have succeeded in meeting the requirements, while the remaining boats failed to sell their products as their owners could not present any fishing diaries or identify their fishing locations.
