In opening the forum, Deputy Inspector General Tran Ngoc Liem emphasized that the Party and State have attached importance to the fight against corruption, with the issuance of Party Central Committee’s resolutions, a law and a national strategy on corruption prevention and combat. Thuy An, Vietnam’s representative at Miss Intercontinental 2019, has unveiled the outfit that she will wear whilst competing in the beauty contest’s national costume segment. The Vietnamese beauty states that she will wear an outfit created by designer Nguyen Minh Tuan when she takes part in the national costume segment of Miss Intercontinental 2019 in Egypt. The outfit, which features clouds, mountains, and a large eagle on the back, is expected to allow Thuy An to perform to the best of her abilities and make a positive impression on both the pageant’s judging panel and members of the audience. Through the costume designer Nguyen Minh Tuan has brought Vietnamese folklore into fashion. 22-year-old Thuy An is a native of Kien Giang province and stands at 1.68 metres tall with measurements of 83-65-89. The couple left their hotel at around 6 p.m. on Wednesday and visited a place on Dong Khoi Street before heading for Cuc Gach restaurant on Dang Tat Street. They asked to pay by card after the meal, but the restaurant manager refused to accept money from them. Hai, the manager, said they refused to accept it when he said the meal was on the house. "We explained that all the ingredients are grown on our farm, and so we did not spend much on them. Moreover, we wanted to welcome him as a family guest. He then agreed."
