Thousands of youngsters join army
Yesterday, the Military Service Council of Thu Duc City and 21 other districts in Ho Chi Minh City held ceremonies to see off local young men to the army and public security force. The new recruits from Thu Duc City are ready to fulfil their duty to the nation. In 2021, 4,628 citizens from Ho Chi Minh City perform their service in military and public security forces, including two female citizens. Among them, 2.05% are official Party members, while 41.95% possess college and university qualifications. On the same day, localities in Military Region 2, including Ha Giang, Lao Cai, Son La, Lai Chau and Dien Bien, also hosted ceremonies to see young people off for military service. Taiwan prepares white rhino ‘Emma’ to find mate in Japan

It's been a busy and exciting time at Taiwan's Leofoo Safari Park where zookeepers have been preparing to send one of their southern white rhinos over to Japan. Part of an attempt to widen the gene pool of Asia's captive-bred white rhinos, it is the first time Taiwan will send a rhino overseas to breed. The safari park scoured their 23 strong herd to find a suitable candidate and settled on "Emma" who ticked all the right boxes. The long process of project approval from competent government agencies and the serious impact of COVID-19 have helped mergers and acquisitions in real estate sector become more active. A recent report released by VNDirect Securities Corporation stated that mergers and acquisitions (M&A) deals, especially in transferring part of large-scale real estate projects, were considered one of the fastest solutions for foreign developers when they want to jump into the Vietnamese real estate market, as well as for the domestic developers expanding their land fund and investment portfolios.
