The first-ever Vietnam International Beauty & Fashion Week closed with an impressive performance in Hanoi on December 15, with plenty of celebrities taking part in the stylish event. Outfits created by designer Nguyen Duc Loc are shown off on the occasion’s final night. The collection includes designs which draw inspiration from the Nguyen dynasty. One notable aspect of the event is the large number of celebrities who perform on stage, including local artist Chieu Xuan. Artist Hoang Cuc takes to the stage. Hanoi set to play host to Homeland Spring 2020 program
Photo: VNA Homeland Spring is an annual event which aims to provide a platform to overseas Vietnamese nationals from across the global to return to their homeland to celebrate the traditional Lunar New Year festival, known locally as Tet. This year’s event is expected to welcome approximately 1,000 overseas Vietnamese nationals throughout the world who came together to create an atmosphere of a traditional Tet celebration. The occasion will see a broad range of activities take place, including offering incense during a ceremony at Kinh Thien temple, the release of carp throughout Hoan Kiem lake, also known as Sword lake, in addition to a wreath-laying ceremony which took place at the Monument to the Heroic Martyrs on Bac Son street. Hanoi-HCM City among world busiest air routes
The Hanoi-HCM City air route has become one of the world’s busiest air routes while the overloading problems still haven't been solved. illustrative image Statistics from Flightradar24, one of the world's most popular flight tracker, shows that there are 1,000 Hanoi-HCM City routes daily. Noi Bai Airport receives 486 flights a week from Tan Son Nhat Airport and there are 489 flights from Noi Bai to Tan Son Nhat a week. Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet Air have most flights on these routes. Noi Bai Airport will receive a total of 30 million passengers this year and 35 million passengers in 2020. This is also the maximum number of passengers Noi Bai Airport can receive since only international Terminal 2 will be expanded. In 2018, Tan Son Nhat Airport received over 38 million passengers. It is forecasted that it will receive 45 million passengers in 2025 while the designed capacity of both terminal 1 and 2 is for 28 million passengers a year. Tetra Pak initiates School Recycling to 800 primary schools and kindergartens in Hanoi
Tetra Pak, in collaboration with its partners, kicks off School Recycling program to involve 800 primary schools and kindergartens in 16 districts of Hanoi The Company also aims to expand this initiative to Da Nang and Binh Duong in 2020. School Recycling is the first-ever, large-scale program to segregate, collect and recycle used cartons in Hanoi under partnership with Hanoi’s Department of Natural Resources and Environment and Hanoi’s Department of Education and Training as well as Tetra Pak’s partners including Dong Tien Paper Factory, Lagom, NHC and Vinamilk. Participating the program, schoolchildren are instructed the simple steps of unfolding four corners of used cartons, flattening and placing them into dustbins for collection.
