Nguyen Quoc Toan, Acting Director of the Agro Processing and Market Development Authority under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, made the remark at a workshop in Hanoi on June 19 that focused on the Republic of Korea (RoK)’s management system of the plant protection product (PPP) residue list for imported agricultural products. Agriculture Minister orders intensified IUU combat

Accordingly, the People’s Committees of coastal provinces and cities must accelerate the recovery of Movimar satellite geo-positioning devices installed in fishing vessels with lengths of below 24 metres for installation in those of 24 metres and above. At the same time, they should push the prompt upgrade of GPS-integrated VX-1700 satellite communication equipment on both vessels and coastal stations, and impose strict punishment on those ships which fail to operate the monitoring equipment around the clock as required. New RoK rules bring challenge, opportunity to Vietnam’s farm produce

The trend has expanded from the acquisition of 100 per cent or control of Vietnamese companies, such as the Sabeco deal from Thailand, to minority or strategic investments in large Vietnamese companies.
