Korean and German are set to be taught to pupils in grades three to 12, alongside other foreign languages such as English, Russian, French, and Chinese. The main contents of the Korean and German language lessons will include topics and basic language skills such as phonetics, vocabulary, and grammar, that are selected in accordance with the cognitive ability of the students and integrated into the development of basic listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. The announcement has immediately provoked a strong reaction from parents, who voiced their doubts about the feasibility of the programme. The Government has ordered the Ministry of Transport to complete two component projects of the North - South expressway (Highway NH45 - Nghi Son and Nghi Son - Dien Chau sections) by 2023. The Government has issued a Resolution to implement Resolution No. 1213 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the transformation of the investment form of these two projects. The resolution assigns the Ministry of Transport to approve the adjustment of the two component projects according to regulations. The Ministry is also assigned to review, determine and take responsibility for the accuracy and reasonableness of the adjusted investment capital of the two component projects. The Ministry of Planning and Investment was asked to coordinate with the Ministry of Finance to arrange capital for these projects. Lieutenant Colonel Doan Ngoc Minh Tuan, Deputy Head of the Da Nang Traffic Police Department, said the deployment of traffic cameras has eased work pressure on police officers. The central city of Da Nang is one of the first cities to place traffic cameras on main street arteries. Up to 143 cameras have been installed in 47 locations. The installation of cameras has raised people’s awareness, and encouraged them to follow traffic lights and control their speed. It has also reduced the presence of police officers at major traffic points. According to the Da Nang Traffic Police Department, from 2016 to 2020, these “magic eyes” helped to find and report 48,118 traffic violations, of which 38,004 cases were issued total fines of 55 billion dong and 7,590 driving licenses were withdrawn. Ticker VCA of steel producer VICASA – VNSteel, based in the southern province of Dong Nai, will be listed on March 10 with 15.18 million shares at VND13,100 ($0.57) each. Textile company Tien Son Thanh Hoa (AAT) will be listed on March 24 with nearly 35 million shares at VND10,600 each. On the same day, 1.2 billion SSB shares of SeaBank will be listed at VND16,800 each. With the new listing, the main bourse will see its total market cap increase by VND20.8 trillion ($902.76 million). The listings are expected to create more pressure on HoSE’s 20-year-old system which has suffered frequent overloads due to a surge in the number of investors. A number of tickers on HoSE are set to be temporarily moved to the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) while the former works to upgrade its system, which could take until the end of the year.
