During the first days of April, the human resources department at Danang Golden Bay Hotel in Da Nang has been calling former staff and recruiting new interns to host future guests. Business director of the hotel, Mai Thi Kim Oanh, told Tuổi Trẻ (Youth) newspaper that the hotel has received over 100 bookings for the upcoming holiday and the number of bookings continues to increase. Nguyễn Thuý Anh, Chairwoman of the NA Committee for Social Affairs and Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the Female NA Deputy Group, said legal regulations require that women must account for at least 35 per cent of the total number of female candidates for deputies to the NA and all-level People’s Council. City to increase financial support for preschool teachers

New graduates working in public preschools will continue to receive financial support to 2025. Under the plan, new preschool teachers will continue to receive monthly support of VNĐ3 million (US$130) in the first working year, or 100 per cent of their base salary. In the second year, support will be 70 per cent of the base salary and in the third year 50 per cent. Preschools in the city recruit about 600 teachers a year, so the city needs about VNĐ20 billion ($870.26) to carry out the plan. The original plan, which began in 2014, helped triple the number of preschool teachers in the city to 1,205 in 2019, according to the city’s Department of Education and Training. HCM City urged to put COVID-19 response measures in place

During a meeting held between municipal authorities and the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control on April 12, Phong said that on April 10 alone Cambodia recorded a further 477 positive COVID-19 cases, with the figure rising to 800 in Thailand.
