Swimmer Nguyen Huy Hoang has become the first Vietnamese athlete to book a slot at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, after meeting the Olympic Qualifying Time (OQT) at the ongoing 18th FINA World Championships. Swimmer Nguyen Huy Hoang wins Vietnam’s first ticket to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. On Tuesday (July 23) morning, the 2000-born swimmer competed in the men’s 800 m free freestyle and finished in 07:52.74, surpassing the OQT of 7:54.31 for the men’s 800m at the Games announced by the International Swimming Federation (FINA). Hoang's best achievement in this event is 07:50.20 when he won gold at the 2018 Youth Olympic Games in Argentina. The Quang Binh native will continue to compete in the men’s 1,500 m freestyle on July 27. SEA Games 30: Vietnam stays at second place on December 5

The gold medals were in Pencak Silat, fencing and swimming. Vietnam now has 31 gold, 35 silver and 41 bronze medals, second only to host Philippines which owns 63 golds, 45 silvers and 31 bronzes. Director of the Vietnam Sports Administration Vuong Bich Thang said the gold medals are all anticipated and targeted by the coaches. Foreign groups grasp more aviation control

The government has agreed to raise the foreign ownership limit (FOL) in Vietnamese air carriage enterprises to 34 per cent from the current 30 per cent from the start of next year, according to Decree No.89/2019/ND-CP promulgated on November 15, amending some regulations of 2016’s Decree No.92/2016/ND-CP, covering the conditional business lines in the aviation sector, and Decree No.30/2013/ND-CP from 2013 on the air carriage business and common aviation activities. The ballet is choreographed by Johanne Jakhelln Constant, art director of the Moving Art Theatre in Bodo, Norway, who previously worked with the HBSO to produce the ballet Cinderella.
